Chilliwack and District is a relatively active market. Prices are stable, edging into the balanced market area. New listings are still coming on the market everyday, which keeps prices fairly stable. Sellers need to price their homes keenly for quicker sales. Unit Sales over the last year are in a positive value. Benchmark prices overall are down 1.4 percent year over year, including Single Family homes down 1.1 percent. Apartments and Townhouses are still increasing, in unit sales as well as prices. Most buyers are putting in subjects and doing their due diligence. However, we are seeing some multiple offer situations. NOW is the time to take advantage of the LOW prices!! As Bank of Canada does more rate cuts, the prices will start to go up again.
