Inventory has been steady for the month of January. Lots of new listings are hitting the market but homes have started sell a lot quicker so the inventory has been holding steady. There are currently 855 homes listed in Chilliwack in and Surrounding areas, slightly lower than last month. Homes are starting to get multiple offers in situations where they are priced really well. However most listings are still selling under asking price, so there are definitely deals to be made. The average days on market are 41 days, which has gone down. Chilliwack has seen an -23.1% decrease in prices for detached homes when compared to last year at this time. Buyers are still putting in subjects and doing their due diligence. More buyers are coming back into the market now, so it’s a great time to sell but it’s definitely an even better time to buy because it’s still a buyers market.
