
Inventory went down a bit over the course of December due to the Holidays but it will definitely come back up with this month and next month as sellers start to list their homes. Homes are selling under asking with rare situations of multiple offer situations when homes are priced really well. Some listings are selling significantly under asking, so there are definitely deals to be made right now. There are currently 764 listings in Chilliwack and the surrounding area. The average days on market are 47 days. Chilliwack has seen an -25.4% decrease in prices for detached homes when compared to last year at this time. Buyers are putting subjects and have time to do their due diligence without being pressured by bidding wars. If homes are priced well they are still selling quickly. There are still tons of buyers out there, so it is a great time to sell but now it is definitely a better time to buy because it is definitely a buyers market now.
