Tons of inventory on the market which means buyers have a lot more options when house hunting. Homes are mostly selling under asking and multiple offer situations are almost completely a thing of the past. Some listings are selling significantly under asking, so there are definitely deals to be made right now. There are currently 1272 listings in the Chilliwack and surrounding area. The average days on market are 40 days, which is steadily increasing. Chilliwack has seen an -14.1% decrease in prices for detached homes when compared to last year at this time. Buyers are putting subjects and have time to do their due diligence without being pressured by bidding wars. If homes are priced well they are still selling. There are still tons of buyers out there, so it is a great time to sell but now it is definitely a better time to buy because it is definitely a buyers market now.
