Tons of inventory on the market which means buyers have a lot more options when house hunting. Homes are mostly selling under asking and multiple offer situations are almost completely a thing of the past. Some listings are selling significantly under asking, so there are definitely deals to be made right now. There are currently 1220 listings in the Chilliwack and the surrounding area. The average days on market are 32 days, which is steadily increasing. Chilliwack has seen an 10.9% decrease in prices for detached homes when compared to last year at this time. Buyers are now putting subjects again and doing their due diligence without being pressured by bidding wars. If homes are priced well they are still selling quickly. There are still tons of buyers out there, so it is a great time to sell but now it is definitely a great time to buy as we are seeing a shift into a buyers market.
