There is even more inventory on the market now compared to even last month. Buyers finally have a lot more options. Homes are starting to sell under asking again and multiple offer situations are decreasing. Some listings are selling significantly under asking, so there are definitely deals to be made right now. There are currently 1154 listings in the Chilliwack and surrounding area. The average days on market are 18 days, which is still low but steadily increasing. Chilliwack has seen an 14.4% increase in prices for detached homes when compared to last year. Buyers are finally able to put in subjects again and do their due diligence without being pressured by bidding wars. If homes are priced well they are still selling very quickly. There are still tons of buyers out there, so it is a great time to sell but now it is definitely a great time to buy as we are seeing a shift into a buyers market.
